Pregnant and Nursing Mothers

Good health for mom and baby starts before conception and continues after the baby is born and beyond.  As a Certified Health Coach working with pregnant and nursing mothers, I educate women on practical ways to  positively impact their health and the health of their baby.  These workshops will teach you simple solutions that help create a healthy pregnancy, enhance baby’s growth and development, minimize the risk of health issues, and create a strong and lasting bond with baby.

A partial list of program topics are:

  • Understanding Protein, Fats, and Carbs
  • Science of supplementation
  • Foods to avoid and why
  • Allergies and intolerances
  • Superfoods
  • Metabolic programming
  • Food quality vs. quantity

As a Certified Health Coach, I am here to help and empower women to live healthier lives before, during, and after pregnancy. The three workshops listed below include helping women prepare their body for pregnancy, having a healthy pregnancy and delivery, as well as maximizing the health of mom and baby once baby is home. These workshops are taught in a group or individual sessions.

1. Prepare Right Now

Turn pregnancy into a healthy new beginning

  • Stages of pregnancy and creating a healthy womb environment.
  • Simple, safe and effective exercises that relieve stress and increase the likelihood of an easier delivery and faster recovery.
  • Prepare women for the emotional, hormonal, and physical changes the body will experience during pregnancy.
  • The role of mom’s attitude and how it can directly affect your pregnancy and the health of the baby.

2.  Eat Right Now

Experience optimal nutrition during pregnancy and beyond

  • Nutritional needs during pregnancy,  healthy substitutions, and nutrient-dense foods.
  • Choosing quality foods and how to avoid certain foods and additives to protect baby.
  • How to eat for two and understand a healthy weight gain.
  • Mastering cravings through nutrition – what they are and why they exist.

3. Live Right Now

Make a smooth transition from pregnancy to motherhood

  • Making postpartum decisions (i.e. breastfeeding, nutrition, and exercise).
  • Create strong and lasting bonds with baby.
  • Learn ways to nurture the spousal relationship.
  • Understand the importance of TLC for new moms and how to achieve it.
